AKPESSC 2024

The All Kerala Power & Energy Society Student Congress (AKPESSC'24) is the flagship event of the IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, organized in association with PES Student Branch Chapter NCERC Pampady. Scheduled for the 27th, 28th, and 29th of September 2024 at Nehru College of Engineering & Research Centre, this year's theme is "Energizing the Future." AKPESSC'24 aims to unite the Power and Energy Society volunteers from all student branches in Kerala. This event provides a platform for technical advancements and knowledge sharing, inspiring participants through a series of events, workshops, and networking opportunities. The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) is at the forefront of sharing technological advancements in the power and energy industry, setting key industry standards, and educating its members and the public.


THEME

The theme for AKPESSC'24, Energizing the Future, reflects the urgent need to focus on innovation and sustainability within the power and energy sectors. This theme emphasizes the importance of developing and implementing new technologies that can meet the growing energy demands while minimizing environmental impact. It underscores the critical role that future engineers and professionals will play in shaping a sustainable energy landscape. By exploring this theme through workshops, talk sessions, and industrial visits, participants will be educated on the latest advancements and sustainable practices. They will learn how to contribute to creating a more efficient, eco-friendly energy future, ensuring that the industry evolves in a way that benefits both society and the planet.


NCERC

Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre, Pampady, Thrissur, Kerala State was established in 2002 with a noble Vision ‘To mould true citizens who are millennium leaders and catalysts of change through excellence in education’. NCERC is an autonomous Institution accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A’ grade. The IEEE Student Branch at NCERC was revitalized on January 7, 2021, with a ceremony led by IEEE President Susan Kathy Land. Since then, it has actively participated in various events and hosted its own initiatives. The branch aims to connect members with professionals for knowledge sharing, skill development, and networking, keeping them updated on technological trends. As part of the global IEEE community, it fosters innovation and growth, empowering members to positively impact their fields and society.
